The problem we solve
It is hard to know where your money goes. The Charity Commission register is essential but difficult to read at a glance. Other sites take a cut of your donation, sell advertising to charities, or charge for premium ratings.
We built CharityCompare to give everyday UK donors a clear, independent picture: 0–100 Clarity scores, beacon breakdowns, filing history, and side-by-side comparison. We show the data; you decide where to give.
Our promise
-
100% independent
We do not accept money, sponsorships, or ad buys from the charities we list.
-
Data-driven
Clarity scores are built strictly from public Charity Commission filings — not opinions or paid placements.
-
Zero commission
We never take a cut of your charitable donations. Donate buttons link straight to each charity’s own form.
Keep CharityCompare free and independent
Server costs, data processing, and maintenance are not free. Because we refuse to take money from the charities we evaluate — and we will not run ads — we rely entirely on people like you to keep this UK charity directory running for everyone.
Support is optional. Every rating, comparison, and profile stays free whether you contribute or not.
Secure payments via Stripe · we never see your card details
